You will save a tremendous amount of money going about it yourself. Always keep in mind that you are 100% capable of hiring a manufacturer yourself. You want to have your prototype in your hands. You paid for it so you should have access to it. It's that simple.
OK, now you have your professional prototype created and it's time to try to get it to market. You can hire a manufacturer to mass produce your product and you can easily sell it online. You can sell it through Amazon. Amazon will package it, mail out the orders to customers and then you can receive your commission straight to your Paypal account. Again, it really is that simple. If you make many sales online, you might want to introduce your product to stores such as Walgreens, CVS and BedBath&Beyond.
